NEW TRACK | Saroos

TRIO OF TALENT: Saroos released a track off their upcoming album, “See Me Not”, on the website XLR8R today. The record is produced by Anticon artist Odd Nosdam, who clearly fits well with this German trio if you’ve heard him before. I first heard Odd Nosdam, years ago, through this gorgeous song and video for “Kill Tone”. Saroos’ “Yukoma” is a pulsing bit of electronica, sparking with tings, warped record noises, hissing, distant cooing background vocals, a sensual groove, and sense of the nighttime air. Saroos is Christoph Brandner, Max Punktezahl, and Florian Zimmer. The band explain their music as sci-fi based, and particles in motion. Note: “See Me Not” will be released on November 9, 2010. Artwork taken from Saroos’ MySpace Page. My apologies to whomever created it. I don’t know the name of the artist, but it’s a wonderful piece. – David D. Robbins Jr.
