Lower Dens posted a new video for the dark and beautifully enchanting “Candy”, a song off their stellar release, “Nootropics”, out via Ribbon Music. Front-woman Jana Hunter sounds fantastic on this track, and it’s one of a handful of my favorites off the record. The video was directed by Alan Resnick and Noah Collier. -- David D. Robbins Jr.

Saw Lower Dens (by way of going to see the opening act, No Joy) here in DC recently. Great stuff, powerful performance. “Nootropics” is excellent also but not in our opinions up to the level of the live performance that we saw, which was more intense somehow than the studio versions. Definitely, however, I’m now a fan of the band both live and on record. Thanks for posting the video!
