EARLY TO BED | EP at EardrumsPop

Meagan and Henry are the duo that comprise the band Early to Bed. But the two have never met. Megan lives in the United States and Henry lives in Denmark. They met on the internet and began trading pieces of music back and forth until they’d end up with a finished track. We’re starting to see this kind of unique collaboration more in the music world. The music of Early to Bed has a romantic lounge quality to it. It’s spirited by Meagan’s soft, inviting vocals and a meditative instrumentation. They have a free three-song EP made available via the label EardrumsPop. The band posted two originals and one cover, “Pair of Bonnie and Clydes”, a song with a slow, spacey groove and alluring and meandering lyricism. The words were written by Virgil Shepard Walters: “Stole an apple from the liquor store / The grin on your face walking through that door… / Chase you off the block, and you chase me down the street / They better back off the plate, because we’re bringing the heat / We’re Mississippi weather / You better get your front porch together.” — David D. Robbins Jr.
