MOOD RINGS | Promise Me Eternity (Video)

A new video from Atlanta’s Mood Rings for their song “Promise Me Eternity”. The name of the track sounds like some long-lost film title to an Ernst Lubitsch or Douglas Sirk picture. And it might as well be. The song begins with a jangly Johnny Marr-like intro but dissolves into the waltzing sway and vocal harmonics of the 1950s mixed with modern electronic experimentation. It’s part lullaby, part narcotic. Listen to the song and watch the video above. The band is currently part of the Double Phantom label. You can also listen to the band’s January 2011 EP release, “Sweater Weather Forever” at the bandcamp link below, featuring four free songs to download. Follow the band at facebook. — David D.
