Dark Horses made their North American radio debut this past weekend on KCRW with the single “Radio”. The band’s debut album will be released in the autumn by Last Gang Entertainment. It was recorded in Chicago’s Key Club studios with Richard Fearless from Death In Vegas. Like the one-word song title suggests, the song is a bit like an ode, using a seemingly inanimate object as metaphor. This is one of the few times where the press release material actually described the band’s sound pretty accurately. Yeah, there are shades of Siouxsie Sioux and the Velvets here, and an”Andy Warhol’s Factory art collective” feel. You can follow the band at facebook. — David D. Robbins Jr.
