Arcadia Gardens | Relax Tonight

Arcadia Gardens is the dreamy bedroom-pop solo project of Tennessee’s Dan Rutstrom. His newest record, “Memory Machines”, consists of six songs — all with a drifting, chilled electronic feel. There’s a ton of easy-flowing reverb, soft vocals, computer-game sounding effects, and a scattering of drum-kit percussion. It’s intricately moody and beach-inspired. It’s a positive, laid back record, about kicking it and taking it easy — best illustrated by the song, “Relax Tonight”: “Relax / This breath could be your very last / Relax / Just breath deep and let the good times last.” You can stream or download the record at bandcamp.
