Micachu and the Shapes | Never (Stream)

You can stream the newest Micachu and the Shapes record, “Never”, courtesy of a premiere at The Guardian UK. Click on the album cover above to get there. The pounding album opener, “Easy”, is one of the best tracks I’ve heard this year. You can even hear what sounds like a vacuum cleaner buzzing in the background at the end of the song. And the tripped out, psychedelic “OK” is just as good. “Never” is scheduled for release on July 24 (U.S.) via Rough Trade. (It’s out on July 23 in the U.K.) You can follow the band at facebook or the official website— David D. Robbins Jr.

  1. A couple weeks ago I went to a Crinkles/Woodsman/Quilt/Young Magic show @ Glasslands (Brooklyn) and talked quite a bit with a woman I met there who told me to check out this band! So, thanks for both the reminder and the opporunity! :”)
