“The Night Was Young Enough” is the name of a new smooth dream-pop track (with video) from Rush Midnight (aka Russ Manning and Chad Hodge), the former of which was better known as the bassist for Twin Shadow bassist. Apparently, Manning has been recording on the side, as he’s toured with Twin Shadow, and will be releasing a debut EP entitled “+1”. The +1 EP is scheduled to be out on October 30th via Cascine, and this initial track shows his sound, like George Lewis Jr.’s, has a bit of that 80s bent, colored by pop synth, slight guitar riffs, and heavy grooved-out vocal harmonies that could easily find space in your record collection between a Wham! album and the Pet Shop Boys.
