Lilacs and Champagne | Sensations (Video)

Listen and watch the fever dream of Lilacs and Champagne duo Alex Hall and Emil Amos. It’s in the form of a song called “Sensations” (from a self-titled release), which feels like the musical equivalent of heat waves — those strange optics that occurs when heat changes air density and light reflection. Listening to the track, the vibe is nearly palpable, as low harmonica mixes with clicking percussion and wavering guitar pulses in this warped, psych music gem that could be the soundtrack to some long-lost Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. Lilacs and Champagne is part of the label Mexican Summer. Follow the duo at facebook. Video was edited by Amos. — David D. Robbins Jr.

Guilt-Free Listening Zone

This is a guilt-free listening zone. We've built relationships with bands, artists, labels and PR firms to give you the best in new music. All songs on this site are sent to Their Bated Breath directly from the artists, their PR firms, their record labels, or are available via stream. Thanks so much to all of them. It's important to me that nothing posted here take away anything from the artists. Enjoy. -- David.
