Annie | Ralph Macchio

Annie’s latest single, the tongue-in-cheek Bananarama-ized ode to famed “Karate Kid” actor and master of ‘The Crane Kick’ Ralph Macchio, is just too much fun not to post. Okay, so this dance-club goof usually wouldn’t be at the top of my I-Pod playlist, but hey, you can’t go wrong with the jangly rhythm and catchy vocal delivery set to these laugh-aloud lyrics: “Putting down my feelings on paper / Secrets that I’ve never told / With the beating of my heart is surrender / To Ralph, Ralph Macchio … / Kiss me once and keep me forever, Ralph Macchio / In his arms we’d hold on together / Ralph Macchio / Ohhhhhh, Whoaa / Kiss me once and keep me forever, Ralph Macchio / And in my dreams we’d lie here together / Ralph Macchio / Never let me go.” This is so awesome. This song follows her earlier single release for “Invisible” and two previous LPs, 2009’s “Don’t Stop” and the breakout success of “Anniemal” (2004). “Ralph Macchio” is featured on Annie’s new EP, “A&R”. You can download the five-song EP today at I-Tunes and  Pleasure Masters. All tracks are co-written and produced by Richard X. Note: All lyrics are unofficial. — David D. Robbins Jr.
