Wolf Alice | Blush

Wolf Alice released a wounded, fragile pop-rock track, “Blush”, about trying to find happiness. The song begins the four-piece North London band setting the mood slowly, both instrumentally and lyrically, before quickening the pace and transitioning into a row of one-word associations sung by lead singer Ellie Roswell: “Curse the things that made me sad for so long / It hurts to think that they can still go on … / Punch-drunk / dumbstruck / pot-luck / happy happy.” The song is off the band’s upcoming EP release of the same name, due out October 7 on vinyl via Chess Club. You can follow Wolf Alice at twitter and facebook. Note: Lyrics are all unofficial. — David D. Robbins Jr.
