New York band, Wilsen, is streaming its latest single, “Magnolia”, the title-track from the band’s upcoming four-song EP, which is scheduled to be released on the May 18. The style of the song is right amid the band’s general wheelhouse if you’ve heard any of their previous music. “Magnolia” is soft and confessional, with lead-singer Tamsin Wilson’s vocals coming out pretty and crisp. However, this time around I think the band have hit on its best song yet. They’ve taken a fuller instrumental sound (heavy drums, echoey synth, resonating guitar) and blended it well with the isolated and romantic tone of the band’s lyricism and lead vocals.
