Lists | Veil

Here’s another crystalline creation from Edinburgh artist, Lists (aka Alistair Milesi). It’s a song called “Veil”,  and he tells me it will likely be the last track on his upcoming EP release. Lists’ new track is different from the first one I posted about (“Autumn”). The steady, upbeat pacing has slowed and become a touch more electronic, and in its place is more of a contemplative tone, meditative in its gorgeous repeated harmonies, waltzing rhythm, delicate keyboard, and drifting, deep, dark strings. Matching the more melancholic mood is a pretty poetrics about the things nature can imply on the mind, like what the future holds: “For all the time lost thinking / And watching from the shore / The sea beyond the sky / Suggests there’s something more.” It’s time to keep watch for this artist and his music, and it shouldn’t take long before others are finding beauty in it too.
