Man, what is it about Brooklyn? It’s the new Mecca of music. Another Brooklyn band, Youth Castles, have a release out. It’s a three-track record called “Demos”. The musical style is fuzzed-out yet melodic. There’s soaring guitar flare-ups, obscured and cryptic vocals, and a rush of pace and steady drumming. Listen to the album’s first song, “Feel”, below. Then go to the band’s bandcamp site to listen to and download the rest of the demos. The band says these three demos were bedroom recordings, using garage band, an electric guitar, a synthesizer, and a drum machine.
