Anni Rossi released her album “Heavy Meadow” last year on the internet, but now has an official physical release out via 3 Syllable Records. Sadly, I had planned on attending a live show and interviewing her after, but had a schedule conflict. It would have been cool to hear her play this cover she dropped today on soundcloud, a version of Aaliyah’s “Are You That Somebody”. Whew. She stays true to the song’s melody and groove, but adds her own reverb vocals, and it sounds great. — David D. Robbins Jr.
