Great Skies | Dreamscape

Here’s a steamy, dark, dubbed-out dance track, “Dreamscape”, from a 21-year-old London music producer who goes by the moniker Great Skies. This artist is gifted with being able to create mood-drenched soundscapes that seriously groove, while maintaining a sense of authenticity too. He samples his own voice, alters the pitch, and it becomes the only verse of the song. It’s sex on wheelz. There’s also another recently posted Great Skies track, “Not Gonna Wait Forever”. Love that slow build up. Warped vocals and shimmering synth lead into quick percussion, which melts into a marvelous fluctuating tremolo and piano. Elegant stuff. Masterful. Great Skies posted a link for you to be able to download “Not Gonna Wait Forever”. Grab it while the link lasts. Great Skies also has a new four-song EP out, in collaboration with friend Ivan Dubsky. It’s simply called “Sessions Vol. I” and you can stream or purchase the record at bandcamp. I highly recommend the song “Change Your Mind” featuring the beautiful vocals of CoMa. You can follow Great Skies at soundcloud, facebook and twitter. — David D. Robbins Jr.
